Independent fee appraiser completing assignments various lenders, business entities, governments and individuals. I have appraised for mortgage purposes, insurance purposes, property work-outs, foreclosures, tax appeals, condemnation, federal bankruptcies and state court hearings. Responsibilities include appraising all types of properties, including, income and special use properties including but not limited to residential, commercial, apartment, office (high-rise, low-rise, medical, professional), hotel, motel, industrial, warehousing (single and multi-level), churches, restaurants (fast food, take-out, sit down), mobile home parks, self storage facilities, auto dealerships, auto malls, fraternities, sororities, easements, schools, friary, adult foster care, banks, gasoline stations, convenience stores, retail stores, strip shopping centers, regional malls, day care, nursing homes, lumber yards, bowling alleys, veterinary clinics, meat packing plants, truck terminals, bed and breakfasts, turf farms, banquet halls, car wash, airplane hangars, funeral homes, grocery stores, golf courses, condominiums (office), skating rinks, civic center, subdivisions, as well as all types of vacant property (commercial, office, industrial, multi-family, mixed use).
1977-88 - Midway Realty Company - President
This firm was a commercial real estate broker/developer. Developed a 300 acre industrial park, managed 500,000 SF of warehouse space, sales of warehouses, office buildings, industrial and commercial building sites. Responsible for legal and accounting, supervised al closings for the firm including drafting and review of all documents, preparation of closing statements and collection and disbursements of funds.
1974-77 -Building & Research Corporation - Sales
This firm brokered larger commercial properties, emphasis was on apartment complexes with some sales in office buildings, shopping centers, ranches and vacant land for development.
EMPLOYMENT
1967-74 - Corinthian Homes, Houston, Texas - Vice President
General contractor/home builder, in charge of site acquisition, interim and permanent financing, accounting, legal, sales and closings. Secondary functions included purchasing, labor relations and construction supervisor. The firm built 50-100 homes per year in 2-4 subdivisions in the Great Houston market.
